Walking on the beach with my daughter

View of Znjan from behind our building.

This morning was windy but sunny and warm enough to take Beli to the beach. I guess this is not a popular time to be going to the beach as it was deserted, but for us, it's just minutes away from home.

I brought along a book and some crayons to keep her busy. She has really taken a liking for drawing.

Collecting sticks.

Oh boy, this will be a challenge! To convince her to give me the sticks before we head back home. It's going to involve lots of kicking and screaming. Wish me luck it's not easy reasoning with a toddler!

Scenic pictures from Znjan to Bacvice Beach

I began jogging. Yes, again. For the fourteenth time. But this time I am hoping to stick with it. After all, I have someone to be accountable to. Me.

I must admit the path I use to jog from Znjan to Bacvice beach is quite picturesque and motivational. It pushes me to continue running when I feel like quitting. This particular morning, I remembered to bring my camera along. There are many photo opportunities and the photographer in me said, "next time bring YOUR camera."

These are the photos I took this morning.

I will jog along with you.

This always takes my breath away. Or is it the fact that I have been jogging for half-an-hour and I am just out of breath?

Outside Zenta marina.

Seagulls flying around an abandoned boat.

Catch me if you can.

Bacvice Beach.
Another cafe...Seriously I think I counted about 10 of them. Who needs Starbucks right?
Jogging through the Zenta Marina. Oh, and to your left is the restaurant Velo Misto. Great Pizza. Ok, why am I mentioning food?
Walking the dogs party.
Enjoying the sunshine on this quiet morning.

Narrow sidewalk. Somedays, when it is windy you have to be cautious as the waves come crashing against the wall and you might have to run very fast to avoid getting wet.
Heading back home.

Taking a break.
Walking hand in hand.
Seeing these surroundings is what I enjoy the most during my morning jog.
How or what helps you stay motivated?

Picnic At The Beach

I can smell the salt of the Adriatic sea and the seaweed under the rocks. So peaceful and relaxing is the morning. Beautiful families engaging with their children. I think the pictures speak for themselves don't you agree?

How things change in a blink of an eye.

Yesterday (thursday) was one of those days where IT should be raining and pouring and cold and windy BUT it wasn't! Because what other explanation do I have when I tell you that I watched 2 movies on HBO, TWO! and you only do that when the weather is crappy Right? You stay indoors. Well it was sunny and beautiful outside. Yet I remained confined to my apt all day long!!

But that evening Davor went to the grocery store and came back with: Warm Pizza, Coke, Dessert and an invitation for Dinner at the beach. I initially said it's ok just take Beli I will stay here, but then I thought "ARE U CRAZY WOMAN?GO!
So I did and I enjoyed every minute.

THREE days in a row!

Yes we did it! Ok now I am sounding like Dora the Explorer. SO we went 3 days in a row to the beach, will tomorrow be the FOURTH?.. ...STAY TUNED....... same time, same channel...

Today: went to the beach, Isabela "played" in the crib. She didn't want to sleep. In the evening took her to the trampolines and she jumped and jumped up, up..She can say noga leg/foot and she kept saying it noga, noga, noga. I made friends with a Mom of two (6 year old and 11 month) we promised to have a playdate for our daughters. Beli ate gelato and Fornetti.. AH even saying the word makes my mouth water..Fornetti there I go saying it again, Fornetti...ok they are these phillo dough pastries, perfect bite size and they come with different fillings. Cheese (my favorite) vanilla, chocolate, marmalade, pizza sauce..They are addicting....!!!

You know what else is addicting?? Shopping http://www.etsy.com/ and reading http://www.dooce.com/ she is the Oprah of BLOGGING. (be warned:some foul language used, read intro and decide for yourself if you want to continue)

Tomorrow: beach??hint,hint...the market for fresh organic produce..then driving to Makarska to visit family friends.
