I would have arrived in Croatia (a week ago, to be exact)
instead I'm living in Iowa
waiting for hubby to reunite with Beli and I.
We won't be returning to Croatia (as of now)
We have reached a crossroad
and a decision must be made
what is in the best interest for our family?
The three of us?
Hubby and I have our families oceans apart
Recession is now a personal enemy
We knew the time would come
when we
would be faced with this decision
it's not easy.
but then again, change is never easy.

There was no easy way to write this, I had many different scenarios played in my mind
of how I would explain that we wouldn't be returning to Croatia. I told all my friends in Croatia goodbye before I departed, it was bitter-sweet. I told my parents on Christmas Day, it was their present!
(P.S. I'm blessed that our family is healthy,
.. now if only we could find work)
