As you may already have guessed, I love horses.
This past weekend I went to an orientation class to volunteer at the
Friends of Horses Rescue and Adoption center. I will be around horses (yes mainly cleaning manure, feeding them) but this is what I like doing, just being around these magnificent creatures is enough for me. After speaking to the owner, I'm considering leasing a horse, at least for a couple of months, before I can decide if adopting a horse is the responsible thing to do. I mean, not only is there the financial part but you also have to bond with your horse, and this is only possible by spending time with them. It's a big commitment!
WOW!! Soooo...you didn't have enough on your plate already, huh?! LOL Oh well...they are beautiful animals. And if you love them...you love them! :-)

knowing now you love horses, and for those who love nature, look at it.
this group of horses living in the wild totals about two hundred animals.
they live just over the Croatian/Bosnian border, another fine reason to love this part of the world.
have a great weekend, cleaning, brushing, pampering those fine animals.
haha@ Poetess, right! but I love being around horses and I feel so peaceful after being in their presence, hoping it helps with all the stress in my life.

Oh my goodness, that is so amazing sweetie. How fantastic that you will volunteer. I also adore horses and I used to be around them all the time. Such a magical creatures. LOVE!
ReplyDeleteElisa, this is awesome. I'm so happy that you're taking part in such a wonderful rescue organization & mission. I did an article for work (two years ago, maybe?) on rescued horses and visited my facility... broke my heart! But happy that these horses can find forever homes in a safe environment.
ReplyDeleteAlso, beautiful pictures. Look forward to reading your updates on this volunteer activity!
love horses, there are so cute!
ReplyDeleteHi, I go to Friends of Horses and I was wondering if you still go there?
