A panoramic view and DIY ideas

A week ago I had lunch with my friend and I gave her the advent calendar I purchased from Lala. She loved it. She appreciated every small detail. I was so happy she liked her gift.

This little guy is soaking in the sun and he has the best spot in town!
A week from today Beli and I will be flying west across the Atlantic Ocean to see family and friends.  I have been busy cleaning, packing, buying gifts, doing laundry, and visiting friends.  Like this bird I'm also trying to soak in as much sun as possible, when it's not raining of course( which has been almost every day) On the other hand I'm looking forward to playing in the snow, making snowmen  and baking cookies with my nephews.

I have been thinking of some activities to do with the boys (5 nephews ages 6,5,3,3 and 11 months) and Beli. So far I'm loving these DIY Holiday Series from Kitchen Cornershot chocolate pops , snow globes made from stained sugar cookies and nutella play dough. If you have any ideas please do share, the more the merrier!

  2. How beautiful about your friend loving the calendar, and how beautiful your photos are! I love the water in all of these (of course :)), but something about the sky in that last one is magic!

  5. @Lady. the last two photos were taken after dropping off my friend at her house. I pulled on the side of the road and literally ran to take the photos then ran back to the car, luckily there was no traffic. LOL

  8. they are saying that we may get a storm on saturday. things are looking clear for next week, but it is going to be cold. i'm not looking forward to it at all. on the up side, the snow should stick around if it is cold enough next week, maybe Beli will get to play in it.

  9. I have not saved one DIY to do this year. I think I'm just overwhelmed with traveling and focusing on getting ready for that...sigh. Wish I were staying home!

  10. You must bee looking forward to seeing your family so much. Such a great thing to have the opportunity to see them in a holiday season. Split looks beautiful even in this cold weather but the bura can be very unpleasant. I remember stories my mom told me how scared she was of that wind in the winter time.
ps I am sure the post cards of Beli personalized will be a hit

  11. Sounds like fun! I always love a disposable camera photo project. There's also paper creations (decorations, cut outs...).

  14. As always, the photos are beautiful! I'm not so good with activities with kids, so I will have to pick your brain for ideas. :) Boys and Beli. She'll have a lot of fun! I didn't receive a message from you in my inbox, so it must have disappeared. I hate it when it happens to me. It always happens when I write a long message... Have a nice Friday!! Kaho

@Sarah thanks for the heads up. I will be sure to carry our coats and mittens with us.

@Krystal I didn't know you were traveling. I know how you don't like flying.

@Jelena, I spoke with my Mom last night and she is getting the house ready and cleaning. I told her, "mom you will have 6 children running around the house don't worry so much about cleaning". But she said she can't just sit still and not do anything.LOL! Now that you mention Bura. oh my! last night, it was blowing so hard, we live in a corner apt so the window shutters were trembling, and it was so cold!
