Beli's great grandparents have a farm with chickens and plenty of fruit trees. I feel right at home and I hope that she will have the same sweet childhood memories that I had when I spent my summers at my grandparents farm.
I guess you can say I'm doing my part by taking plenty of photographs! Now what to do with all these grapes?
Muy bonita niñez que le estas ofreciendo a tu hija. Y con las uvas....????
ReplyDeleteMake some wine with those grapes..hahah..!!!
ReplyDeleteOhh that is such a sweet post and most amazing photos:)
Kisses my dear
Yes children need a constant in their life, and that is not a place, rather the people they love. Once they had that to the age of four, they can go and conquer the world!
ReplyDeletewhoa! that is a lot of grapes! Is that you in the first picture!? so cute!
ReplyDeleteI.M. Gracias, es el sueno de cada madre ofrecerle los mejor a sus hijos.
ReplyDeleteDiana, yes that's a good idea!
ReplyDeleteJelena, I love your words of wisdom! and you just gave me an idea about what to do with the grapes, your recipe posted today sounds super easy and looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteJen, yes that's me in the first photo. I'm in the middle, to the right is my older sister, to the left is a cousin...i think? or a friend..can't remember.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful for Beli!! Sweet memories of the farm, chickens, and mostly her loving grandma!! :-) They will no doubt be etched into her mine as yours are...and mine too!
ReplyDeleteCroatian life means eating grilled fish and meat, drinking rakia and wine, with friends.
ReplyDeletePlenty of excellent fish and meat, wine is something every Croat knows how to make himselve.
October is the winemaking season, after that, the rakia is made from its leftovers, and than the party start, as all has to be shared with friends.
Life's so good, cheers !
PS, once again lovely pictures.
Your post is so poetic. It is beautiful and what a gift you are leaving for your daughter. It cheered me up to read your post. I was feeling down and thanks for giving me a boost of happiness!
ReplyDeleteps you have no trouble finding Costa Coffee, it is right in the center of town, and a couple more shops in the city.
ReplyDeleteOh, I changed the feta in the recipe , after consulting with an expert, to Mascarpone, since I tried it yesterdaz that way. It does not overwhelm the Roquefort. My suggestion, just put them in a fridge on a huge tray and you will be eating them for a month!
I recognized you instantly in the first photo! You have exactly the same smile. The little girl at the right side, with a blueish dress...? You haven't change too much:))
ReplyDeleteI spent my childhood at my grandparents' house too, in a courtyard with fruit trees, chickens, cats and a doggie. And one day my parents took me away in the big city... I had to go to school... I miss all that so much. Thanks for the wonderful photos.
Alina
Oh, I just red the other postings and I found out that you're the little girl in the middle of the photo... are you sure?:)) I was so sure you're the one on the right side! Beautiful photo, anyway: three little girl full of life!
