From my Kitchen

Monday morning we took Beli to the sandy beach at Bacvice and what a nice surprise we had, we saw our friends (M and B) and their little girl. It was a great seeing them because they had just returned from Greece where M's husband was playing professional basketball, and exciting news, they are expecting their second child, a boy! And even though we spent hours catching up, we wanted to know more about their traveling adventures so we agreed to have lunch at our place later in the week. This is what we had,

on the menu:

An appetizer platter with anchovies, octopus salad, balakar pate and olives.

Lunch: zucchini soup, cucumber, tomato and basil salad, grilled fish komarca (sea bass I believe?) and for dessert kava, coffee.
Beli was very happy to have a play date with B.

We talked about what it's like to raise our daughters multilingual. We discussed even opening our own daycare (they are in great demand) or an ethnic restaurant. Is nice to dream right? We love children and good food and of course, the company of good friends. Now how about a siesta, anyone?

  2. Oh wow. Lunch just looks marvellous! I'd be downright jealous if you said that was a typical, normal lunch for you guys! :D

No, no time for siesta -- bring out the gelatos! :)

  4. Juanita, I would be lying if I said no, but yes we usually have soup, salad and some sort of fish.
I'm with you a gelato...then maybe afterwards more coffee?
