Yellow and Orange and Red

Another visit to the town of Solin to visit the other half of the Roman ruins we missed last time. Think of this as part I of the tour!

View we had while enjoying a slice of French cake I brought along from home. Beli called it 'birthday cake.'

I would love to have something like this in my backyard!
All sorts of plants and trees.

Not edible.

 Step into the past.
 view to my left
view to my right. We missed the rain!

Look what Beli found, two flowers in one.

  7. I love seeing the photos of your visits. So fun! I feel like I virtually traveled to Croatia. Step into the past photo is beautiful. Beli's so cute eating her "birthday cake". Is the sheep toy next to her in the photo of her eating the cake, her little favorite toy to carry? That's adorable! I like your new banner! Very cool.

  10. another fantastic picture trip in our gorgeous neighbourhood.
thanks again for showing me and many others why spending time in Dalmatia is time well spent.

we are the lucky ones, living here, but to all followers of your blog it's the best invitation to visit Croatia.

ps. please put back that gorgious picture of Beli on the beach (much lovelier than the townview with billboards).

  11. Beautiful pictures! I always enjoy your posts, Elisa - I always get to see things I never would normally :) I know I say this every time, but Beli really does have such a wonderful life - she gets to see so much! My parents used to go on a lot of trips - and leave my brother and I at home with nannies - so it makes me happy to see how much you do with her! :)
I'm excited for the next post, darling Elisa!

  19. Pim, you are most welcome. Haha yes about the header, I just felt I needed to change the photo since it's autumn/fall, but don't worry as soon as I can take a good one of Beli I will post it.

  20. Allison, we do try. Plus with blogging I'm hoping Beli will have beautiful memories of all the places she has been to even though right now she may not appreciate the 'history' and all. I guess my parents always took us everywhere they went, it was a family affair. I want Beli to have the same experience so even if at times we may think it's not in her best interest.I'm sorry you and your brother didn't get to travel with your parents but look at it this way, one day when you have kids, you will be able to do that with them. travel together.

ps. since i'm in a baking mood, I will have to try your lemon bars recipe soon!)
